Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
We took photos of Chinese, Japanese & Dutch porcelain, cut them in to different circles and rearranged them into a new composition. Medium: Cotton paper, archival museum print, gold leaf.
